Thursday Training – Bleep Test @ Prospect Park, RG30 2ND
Meet at 6.50pm for a 7pm start, we will be looking for several volunteers to help with this, so if anyone would like to get involved please reach out!
The bleep test will be back for the 2nd time this year should we have enough volunteers. This will be an ideal opportunity to see how fit you all are now compared to the one you completed in June.
The bleep (also commonly referred to as the beep test, shuttle run and multi-stage fitness test) is one of the most common and widely practised endurance fitness assessments. The test is used by coaches to estimate an athletes VO2 max (maximum oxygen uptake). It will take you to your fitness limit!
We aim to carry out the test on a dry flat area on grass and will split you into groups when we know numbers attending.
You will get your results shortly after the test has taken place as they have to be worked out.
Please note if there is anyone who would not like to participate in this we are more than happy to run a separate training session away on the grass whilst the Bleep Test is going on at the same time.
