Thursday Training – Speed session – Fastest mile & social @ Green Park, RG2 6GP
The fastest mile is back for another year!
Can you beat your time from June 2023 or set a new record for yourself?!
In 1954 Richard Bannister became the first to run a mile in under 4 minutes – 3:59.4.
The current mile world record holder is Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco with a time of 3:43.13.
Now it’s your turn!
Run your fastest mile around Green Park (which is all flat road) followed by a gentle run then go out for a social after either to Nandos or to the Beefeater at Reading Gateway Retail!
We will park at Nuffield Health in the free multi storey and then meet and do a warm up in Lime Square before the run.
We will need volunteers for this event, so if anyone would like to get involved please reach out.
