Thursday Training – Fartlek & 800m @ Prospect Park

Fartlek is defined as “continuous training with interval training.” The word “fartlek” is Swedish for “speed play,” highlighting its focus on a medley of fast and slow bursts of running during the duration of the workout.

Speed group – Fartlek 400m (change pace every 100m – Jog, run, run fast, run).

Endurance group – Run 800m continuously maintaining pace for each lap (aerobic effort) followed by 400m recovery.
