Thursday Training – Endurance session – Portman Road
This session is run along Portman Road between the Access Storage and the car garage.
We will be running Yasso’s which are 800m efforts at specific paces.
For marathon running, taking your marathon time and turn it to minutes and seconds e.g. 4 hours 10 minutes means you should try to run your 800m in 4minutes 10 seconds
For half marathons aim for your 10K race pace for the 800s. So if you run a 10K at an 8-minute mile pace, for instance, run your 800s at the same pace, in 4 minutes. If you are training for a 5K or 10K, run your 800s 30 seconds slower than your goal 5K pace.
As it gets dark before we finish, we recommend you wear a head/body torch so you can see and others can see you!
