Thursday Training – Prospect Park

Meet at the main car park in Prospect Park for a 19:15 start.
Speed Session – slightly faster than 5k pace
500m (250m up and 250m down)
Start at tennis courts and run up towards the Mansion House and then down towards the bowling green.
30 seconds jog or active recovery.
Then return to the tennis courts.
30 seconds jog or active recovery.
Repeat
Aim:- Correct running uphill, maintaining the effort at the top and then correct relaxed running downhill
OR
Endurance – 10k or 1/2 marathon pace
1000m continuous by returning immediately followed by a 2 minute recovery
Start at tennis courts and run up towards the Mansion House and then down toward the bowling green and turn and return immediately to the tennis courts.
2 minutes recovery period after each rep.
Repeat

Aim:- Correct running uphill, maintaining the effort at the top and then correct relaxed running downhill
