Thursday Training – Speed – Fastest mile @ Nuffield Health
Can you beat your time from February 2026 and set a new record for yourself?!
This is a great way to challenge yourself and see how fast you can run over a short distance.
In 1954 Roger Bannister became the first to run a mile in under 4 minutes – 3:59.4. The current mile world record holders are Great Britain’s Josh Kerr with a time of 3:42.66 and Faith Kipyegon of Kenya with 4:07.64.
Now it’s your turn!
You can park at Nuffield Health in the free multi storey and then we will meet in Lime Square in-front of the Switch Café to do a warm up before the run.
We will need volunteers for this event, so if anyone would like to get involved please reach out.
Social drinks after at The Premier Inn at Reading Gateway.
Head/body torch and hi-vis/reflective clothing is required.
