Short Race – Any 5K e.g. Dinton series, parkrun
Marathon – Any marathon
For each race you do you can earn points by being the fastest RJ in your age/gender category.
To qualify you need to run at least one race at each distance (Short (5k), Medium 5m/10k, Long (10m/ 13.1m). You can also earn extra points if you submit your best marathon time of the year before 31/03/24
If you run more than one race at the same distance i.e. Two 10ks the race with the highest points will count towards your championship score.
You’re competing against members in your own age category.
* Men: Senior, MV40, MV50, MV60, MV65, MV70, MV75+
* Women: Senior, FV40, FV50, FV60, FV65, FV70, FV75+
Your Championship age category is determined by your age on 1st April 2023 (start of club championship).
Within each age category, the fastest finisher scores 50 points, the next fastest 49 points, and so on.
For your race result to qualify for the Championship you must run in Club Vest/T-shirt (though if running for a charity placement you will be able to submit a time)
Times will be based on individual chip times rather than gun times.
We will do our best to capture times from race results however you will need to submit your own times for the 5k and marathon distances (5k park run definitely counts btw). A link to the submission page can be found on the club Facebook page, if you are not on Facebook please email in and your result will be added.
