Club Runs & Training
The club has a long history in the Reading area and has a reputation for welcoming runners of all abilities.
We run every Tuesday throughout the year meeting at 7pm ready to leave on our social runs at 7.20pm from the Co op at Tilehurst Triangle. Runners are split into groups dependent on their pace and are taken out on social runs by leaders, ensuring we all start and finish together ensuring no one gets left behind.
We are fortunate to have some wonderful running on our doorstep including the Thames Path and Sulhamn Woods. In summer we tend to do more trail runs.
We also hold speed and endurance sessions on a Thursday at 7.15pm at various locations in Reading. These sessions support all runners in the club no matter what speed or distance you currently run. They are open to all abilities and we are here to help support your improvement and enjoyment of running. ‘Speed’ sessions are for those wanting to get faster no matter what pace you currently run at. You don’t have to be superfast to benefit from speedwork! ‘Endurance’ sessions are for those wanting to run over a longer distance and to build up their stamina.
Furthermore once a month on a Friday we also run track sessions at Palmer Park at 6.30pm.
Throughout the year we also offer a couch to 5k programme for those that are looking to start their running journey or for those that want to come back to it.
Members enjoy a great support network and are keen supporters of local parkruns and other running events.
Whatever you’re looking for from a local running club – come and see if we are right for you. You are welcome to attend a couple of trial sessions before you sign up as a member, if this is something you are interested in then please get in contact with us at info@readingjoggers.org .
