History of Reading Joggers

Reading Joggers - History

Reading Joggers is a small and friendly running club, formed in 1977 during the early years of the first jogging boom. We have over 250 active members ranging from 18 to 80 years old of all running abilities.  We hold regular social events and enjoy meeting other like-minded runners!

We meet every Tuesday for our club social runs, every Thursday for our club training sessions and once a month on a Friday for our track sessions.

Running keeps you fit, but there’s no pressure from us to improve! It’s sheer enjoyment that keeps us going! However, we hold summer and winter handicaps where we push ourselves over a regular course and a club championship for those who wish to improve and those who do we have a qualified UKA coach who runs coaching sessions and can offer guidance.

If you’d like to know more then feel free to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you soon and a warm welcome awaits.
